The integrity of academic credentials has become a critical issue, especially in developing countries like Nigeria, where cases of certificate forgery and delays in transcript generation have been on the rise. In response to this credential pandemic, this study projects a service-oriented model – DocVerify for academic certificate verification within Nigerian academic institutions. A design science research methodology was adopted, combining the service-oriented architecture modelling language and the software-oriented heterogeneous architecture and platforms engineering approach.

This paper proposes a 4-step block method for the numerical solution of first to fifth orders of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The coefficients of the proposed scheme are obtained through interpolation and collocation techniques using a polynomial as its basis function. The derivatives were collocated at grid and off-grid points, excluding the endpoints and the method is of order 9. The stability properties of the proposed formulas are analyzed.

This paper presents a procedure for the design and analysis of a solar tracking system for a given photovoltaic energy conversion installation which could readily be used by local designers. As the specifications of the desired energy consumption determines the actual total weight of the required number of solar panels, the proposed procedure aims at facilitating optimum choice of the drive servo-motor and presents a formalized design method for the associated controls. The overall transfer function of the system is developed and analyzed to investigate system stability and accuracy.

Groundwater plays a crucial role in supporting human activities and ecosystems. This study conducted a thorough evaluation of the significant of groundwater potential in the study area using Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. Various thematic maps, such as those depicting lineament density, drainage density, slope, soil, precipitation, and land use land cover, were created and integrated into the analysis. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was utilized to assign weights to each thematic map, achieving a consistency index of 0.61.

The leaves extracts of Telfairia occidentalis (Hook f) was studied as a potential antisickling agent. By solvent extraction, ethanol crude extract of leaves of Telfairia Occidentalis were partitioned to obtain their active fractions. In-vitro antisickling activity was determined using freshly prepared 2% sodium metabisulphite (negative control) and extracts of the plant (positive control) against haemoglobin SS red blood cell (HbSS). Activity- guided fractionation was used to target antisickling constituents of n-hexane fraction.

Cyberbullying, also known as online bullying is a type of bullying involving the use of digital technologies such as social media, messaging platforms, or other channels available. It is a harmful behavior in online spaces that poses significant challenges to individuals and society.  The harmful effect of cyberbullying makes the victims to suffer depression, ill-health, emotional disorder, low self-esteem, physical violence and possibly commit suicide.

Tetracarpidium conoforum, (family-Euphorbiaceae), root bark was investigated for its Phytoconstituents and chemical characterization by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The root bark was extracted by hexane and concentrated for further analysis. A portion of the crude extracts recovered by rotary evaporator was screened for their phyto constituents using standard methods and the other portion isolated by vacuum liquid chromatograpy (VLC) was characterized by infra red spectroscopy and HPLC.

Microstrip patch antennas (MPAs) are widely used in wireless communication systems due to their low cost, compact profile, and ease of fabrication. However, their limited gain and narrow bandwidth often restrict their applications. With fіfth-generation (5G) networks demanding compact, high-gain, and wide bandwidth antennas, this work presеnts dual-band Mіcrostrip Rectangular Patch Antеnnas featuring LI-shaped and middle slots, specifically designed to enhance gaіn and bandwіdth for 5G mobilе communication applications.

The importance of institutional repositories in upholding academic integrity has been explored in this study to bridge the gap between intellectual content and ethical conduct in the pursuit of scholarly reputation by major Nigerian universities. Through a case based methodology, an i-Repo architecture abstracting institutional repository services was proposed with mechanisms that deter academic misconduct and promote a culture of originality in academic content, using the University of Benin as a case study.
